Renée Motley is an Executive Coach and founder of RM Coaching. She specializes in partnering with high-performing leaders to reach the next level on their personal and professional development journey. Many of Renée’s clients are early stage startup founders and managers in finance and tech, but she works with leaders across a diverse range of industries and functions. Common coaching themes include: work-life integration, personal fulfillment, overcoming imposter syndrome, preparing for career transitions, effective communication, authentic leadership, identifying values and priorities, clarity on big decisions, and navigating interpersonal dynamics.​

 

Prior to founding her leadership coaching firm, Renée led business and operational efficiency efforts at Robinhood as Head of Internal Strategy and Operational Insights. Prior to Robinhood, she specialized in early stage, consumer-focused venture capital, working at renowned firms such as Harlem Capital, Rough Draft Ventures (General Catalyst), PayPal Ventures, and PLUS Capital. Renée started her career at J.P. Morgan as a client portfolio manager responsible for global asset allocation strategies, based in New York and later in London. Renée holds a B.A. in Economics and Middle Eastern Studies with language citations in French, Spanish, and Arabic from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is also recognized by the International Coaching Federation as a Newfield Certified Coach.​​

 

A native of Pittsburgh, she traded the snow for sand in 2018 and now calls Venice Beach home. You can find her after hours working on her golf swing at a driving range or upside down at a yoga studio.
